Experiential Learning Day and A Great Week of Sports

Hello Readers!

Today was Experiential Learning Day here at Albertus Magnus College! It was a great day because there were a lot of great presentations being put on by students. The presentation I was involved in was the Student Alumni Association presentation. We discussed the organization was all about and how and why we decided to be in SAA. Doing this presentation was a great way to share our experiences and let people know what our role is on campus. We run such events as "Project Gratitude" and the dunk tank at Fall Fest. It is a lot of fun to be involved in an organization that puts on the fun events that we have. My favorite event, by far, is the dunk tank just because it is a great way to raise money for the organization while "dunking" a professor, faculty member, or fellow student. If anyone is interested in joining SAA, please contact Me at rckeidel@albertus.edu or you can see either Stefanie Seslar in Mohun Hall or Corey Brushett in Aquinas Room 303.

In other Albertus news, the softball team won their doubleheader in Brooklyn on Sunday, March 23rd, improving their overall record to 6-4. Both Shyleen Ortiz and Brianna Longley pitched great games. .The Falcon also had offensive support from Carli Matrisian, Brittney Urciuoli, Amanda Jessey and Alyssa Puccilli. It was an outstanding effort by all. The men's lacrosse team also picked up their first GNAC win against Anna Maria, leaving the Falcons with an overall 2-3 record. Some standout players were Greg Buck, Mike Choiniere, and Adam Earl. The Falcons will have their next GNAC game against Mount Ida on March 29th. The men's baseball team will be playing a doubleheader against Coast Guard on March 27th. The first game is at 2:30 pm and the second game is at 5:00 pm.
